If you microwave your lemon long enough, I’m pretty sure the aroma of burnt lemon could cover a lot.

So cute! Congrats to all involved
Congrats on growing a whole adult!
The ability to dance all night.
We have a robovac and it’s amazing, but there are spots it doesn’t reach (like behind doors), so ideally you’d still have a person doing a weekly vacuum as well - not that we ever have.
We’re trying to outsource as much of the stuff we’re struggling with, so we can do the stuff we can do well.
We had a very nice person round to quote on a regular clean. It feels like such a luxury but between neurodivergence, chronic illness and stuff we’re drowning. Was very relieved that our house seemed to be far from the worst she’d seen.
Thinking dry thoughts for you
No squishy fishy for Beck?
SQUID! Do not scare your Mum like that!
Hoping very hard that Squid is just off playing silly buggers somewhere. Sending all the hurry home vibes.
I personally either need to rely on other people or I’ll starve.
Though that’s probably better than the lingering death I’ll face once I can’t source insulin any more.
Cunning!
Utterly fearsome!
I probably shouldn’t ask how long you are likely to drive the box round for
The problem is that “grow your own” is trotted out as a solution any time poverty or food prices are in the news. And that’s not OK.
And, as I said before, no one should have to.
It’s awesome that MENZ she’d make them for free, and I’m sure a lot of people appreciate that. However there is nothing that can make food growing realistic for everyone, so while it can be great, it’s not a fair solution to poverty.
All of those things take time, skill, organisation and energy. Some people, at some stages of their lives _can_ do those things, but many can’t and no one should _have to_ to survive.
Yeah, the end goal is a big shiny post-capitalist utopia, but in the meanwhile anything that makes surviving under capitalism suck a bit less is worth pursuing.
Actually rather nice slippers, but I’m not in the mood to brazen things out today.
Second attempt at leaving the house. This time wearing shoes and not, as I failed to notice until we reached our destination, slippers.
We have a cleaner coming tomorrow to give us a quote, so must, of course, disguise how badly we need their help.
In poor housekeeping standard news - J just disposed of a bottle of Listerine that was a full decade past its use-by!
Itchy!
And growing things from seed often requires starting them indoors (especially further south where the growing season is shorter), which needs space and a bunch more equipment.
I’m so Gen X, won’t you come see about me. I’ll be alone, dancing, you know it, baby
So many people show their whole arses with the way they speak about people they don’t like.
Any garden that needs care needs to be somewhere I am actually going to see it. Pots on the patio maybe have half a chance, a down-the-back vege patch has no hope - and that’s assuming I’m well enough to do stuff, which I’m not.
I get this. I have to work really hard at believing not all help is criticism in disguise.
