Rogue Merchant now has a working leaderboard! The demo is pending approval by Steam at the moment. Pumped to have leaderboards in my games going forward. I feel like it brings a whole new purpose to the games, lol.
Check it out on Steam! store.steampowered.com/app/4549240/...

Thank you so much!
✨THIS GAME WILL BE FREE!✨ lol
I just released a new Steam page for a Merchant game I've been working on!
Maybe go wishlist it? Do wishlists matter for free games? Let's find out, lol.

Does anyone remember the old flash game "Winter Bells"?
I made my own, Gnomish version of it for nostalgia's sake, lol. I might add a leaderboard to it and throw it up on Steam just for fun.

I'll find out soon enough when I have it up on Steam, lol. Fingers crossed. Hopefully the purple is still readable and eye-catching.
Is yellow/purple the best color combination for grabbing people's attention as capsule art on Steam? Any suggestions about which colors I should try out for this?

Also, wishlisted! lol
Hell yeah. Love this.
Do you mind telling me how many frames are in their walking animation, and what FPS they are running at? This is absolutely perfect. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this, lol. It's so smooth and perfect!
A bit more of my Merchant game! Cycle through levels, Haggle prices with customers, trade, equip items, battle each other, gauge whether or not the reward is worth the damage taken, etc. I'll make more levels and playable characters soon.

I hope your game takes the fuck off, dude. lol
Working on a prototype for a Merchant game in a fantasy world. You play as the merchant, selling things to adventurers, but sometimes things get a bit rough and you battle/steal from each other! Does this seem compelling?

Purely based off of how this looks when I was scrolling past it for a moment, I think this game is going places.
Still going to be pushing updates to Dice Goblin's Den over the coming year, though. Don't get me wrong =]. I LOVE this game!
Shared for the sake of anyone considering the pursuit of indie development in these trying times! lol.
The more you can do for yourself, the better. Time is money, friend! Now that this moderately-sized dream game is off my chest, I'm gonna try to tackle a few smaller projects in a timely fashion!
Short post-mortem post. My game has been out for 1 week, here's what the numbers look like. About 12-13 months of actual development time, and a few months of marketing. Not too shabby! Marketing is definitely still the hardest part by far, lol. Hopefully future discounts will bring in more sales!
Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for a delicious banana smoothie.
I'm 2 days into development of a new merchant game. Loving the scenery of it so far. Hopefully the game loop I have in mind is actually fun and engaging, lol.

Toad Knight enemy and party leader are coming along well! Here's a little snippet of them in a new level I'm cooking up for my first content update!

That would be this guy, actually!
I feel so validated right now, lol. I've been saying "Pasta la vista" for years! Haven't heard anyone else say it until now, lol.
Isekai is a genre, usually in anime/manga, where the protagonist just magically wakes up one day in a fantasy world or in another body entirely. So I was just pointing out that Brother Bear did it before it became a popular genre.
My game just released 2 days ago, but I'm already making more enemies and levels for the next update. Introducing the Toad Knight!

Isekai before it was cool, lol.
First couple days of release for Dice Goblin's Den have been pretty amazing! Big thanks to everyone who stopped by the Steam page and gave it a look, wishlist, purchase, or review!
I'm already working on new levels and party leaders. Should have them finished in time for the Summer sale =]
Oops, I almost forgot to comment on this, lol. Dice are the meta-progression currency. There are building upgrades that are purchased with Dice which once unlocked, you keep those upgrades forever. You get 1 dice for each unit killed for the most part, and more from bosses.
Exactly! It goes both ways. Polish obviously makes things better, but you gotta let your game spread its wings and leave the nest at some point. And the wonderful thing is that we can constantly update it on Steam as time moves on! People will notice game updates and see you as a dedicated dev!
I hope all of this comes off as "explanation" more than "excuse"!
Seeing some people care enough about my game to bother leaving me comments upon comments of feedback like you have truly rejuvinates me inside my chest, lol. Thank you so much for spending your time on little old me! I'm honored!
Because there'd be a never-ending list of smaller things that could be better. Like I added the Unit Stats window a day before launch, but maybe I might not update the Witch aoe indicator. I'll add new levels, enemies, and characters, but maybe I'll never get around to fixing some niche bug, etc.
