Yeah I would agree! Maybe cartoon style but the images could reference some vintage playground photos?

Yeah, they really push that in the editors and it makes the algorithm happy...but it's SO distracting.
I think the cartoon style would be fun BUT you might run the risk of comparisons to Leder Games "Fort" ? I mean, not a bad thing LOL. I think the historical photos would be a fun twist but we know people judge by cover so would that art make your target audience miss out? AAAH Tough decisions!
1) did she say where she was from? Perhaps Chik Fil A is exotic to her. OR 2) are we sure this wasn't AI generated?
Heck yes. If you do turn-based games, feel free to add me
Space Base was the game this weekend. Such a well-designed game that moves quick, keeps everyone involved every turn, and my favorite mix of strategy and luck. On BGA, it’s fun, but now I get it.
Every time I play a board game at the table after playing it on BGA for ages, it always clicks how much the tactile experience plays a part in board gaming. BGA is the grocery store sushi to scratch the itch, but at the table is the correct experience.
Another bonus, you will be about 15 minutes from @gamesandstuffmd.bsky.social so you can make a whole day of it!!
Lolol promotion fail - forgot to tag the awesome @exeunt.press who will be presenting this!

After watching season 2 of 'The Rehearsal', it turns out the limitations on communication in 'Sky Team' are actually not a game mechanic, but just how awkward it is in the cockpit!
They LOVE eggs on Taskmaster LOL
Finally completed Resident Evil Village! Now I can buy RE4 … we got a free copy of Requiem with Tim’s new video card so I am

What hit the tables in March:
It was such a fun surprise! One of my favorite reads from last year, picked it up knowing nothing and so glad I did.
It was fun! Gave me nostalgic vibes of those 80s sci-fi adventure movies for some reason? Like, this is the kind of movie I would have been obsessed with if I saw it when I was 12 LOL
LOL well I know nothing about the story at all but I enjoyed 'The Martian' and have heard good things about the movie while dodging spoilers which is another reason I'm trying to see it before someone ruins it for me.
But was it good?? Is it worth going to the theater for?
Yeah, not a fan if that movement - ideally I would rather not listen to strangers eating a smorgasbord during a movie. 😅😅 honestly for that price I want like a cone of silence 🤣🤣
😱
Holy crap, for that price, Gosling should have been there to thank you at the end.
oh wait wait, that might just be the theater I picked... it was $18/ticket... but the theater on the other side of town is $11...I mean, still a lot but not quite as bad. Because I desire popcorn.
I have not been to the movies since December 2024. I just looked at ticket prices for Project Hail Mary for a MATINEE showing... wtf... how does anyone go to the movies anymore???
Level Up Gaming Retreat photo dump! Wish I had taken more but I was having too much fun playing games! #boardgames
In case you were wondering, here is how the gaming afternoon panned out:
I'm leaning towards Heat, for the right amount of player interaction but I'm worried my friends will be too "nice" to play Libertalia 🤣
For main game, trying to decide between:
Heat
Planet Unknown
Libertalia: Winds of Gailcrest (this is on the shelf of shame so I need to learn it but @watchitplayed.bsky.social has a video so I am relatively confident I can)
**hugs**
oh wait! Planet Unknown goes up to 6 people! I've never played at that count... I had more options than I realized!
