It does put some design choices into perspective. Like using guids for everything seems weird but it makes sense coming from an era where centralized entities gave out numbers for to avoid conflicts like with ldap oids

Honestly if it turns out that's all it is then I got out pretty lucky considering most of it is from ebay

I got all my parts in for my new nas box and so far the only issues I've run into are:
1. The cpu cooler I got from ebay was probably used for an intel chip and they just didn't include the mounting brackets for an AM5
2. The threads for the server case for rails are like an M3.5 and I need M4
