Car ownership in Paris is down 30%, compared to just 5% outside of city limits. And frankly Grand Paris Express, while an impressive amount of mileage, doesn't seem well designed enough to significantly change this dynamic.

This is pretty cool. My mother in law found a picture of my wife's grandpa, Alfred Basile, from The Evening Star newspaper talking about Young Washington from 1936. He lived at 745 6th Street SE (which no longer exists because of the highway).
