Which I think we all know are very rarely the same or even close to the interests of humanity as a whole. This is bad and I hope we can all stay aware of it as the world becomes more and more influenced by AI and large language models.

That means when the tech bros proclaim they have produced “super-human ai” which is the ultimate arbiter of truth, that ai will almost certainly be fully aligned with the interests of whoever trained it (the government and multi-billion dollar corporations).

The problem here is that when generating data to train another model, it is very easy (and probably very tempting) to bake in biases and instructions so the model being trained will behave in a certain way and generate a certain kind of data.

The culture war is on track to make the earth uninhabitable. I guess at that point they can say they won
