Hackford’s sacrilegious horror/thriller is a very late-90’s smorgasbord of fun, sexy and campy shenanigans with great writing from Lemkin and Gilroy and terrific performances from Pacino, Reeves and an emotionally effective Theron.

Jarecki’s dry post-recession thriller doesn’t elicit suspense or excitement with its rather generic writing and direction, but is nevertheless a perfect showcase for Gere to play a stupendous asshole in one of his best performances.

I think Joseph Kahn may have a negative opinion about modern-day American society. While it’s sometimes funny, has splendid visual effects and Wilson’s cameo is hilarious, Kahn’s teen horror comedy is too obnoxious and full of itself to really click.
