This is one of the most extraordinary books that I've ever read. It truly felt like being inside of a dream.
I read The Night Circus, but I don't remember enjoying it as much as I did The Starless Sky.
Thank you for this @erinmorgenstern.bsky.social 🙏🏻

Top read this month was Fox by @joycecaroloates.bsky.social beautifully written & completely horrifying 🫣
The Poppy War was a great read aloud with my 14yo. We're onto The Dragon Republic 💪🏼 @rfkuang.bsky.social

Top reads this month were Indian Horse & White Fragility. #BookSky
Another beautiful & horrifying must-read novel. A story of hurt, healing & (surprisingly - to me at least) hockey.

Goals for 2026:
*at least 52 books (need to spend more time reading)
*a wider variety of authors
*find some excellent non-fiction (that I will enjoy - it's not my go to)

When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.
Finding ways to bring knowledge to learners is tough these days. It needs to be accurate, relevant, engaging and accessible. I cast about looking for things like this all the time, explainers that use visuals to tell a story. This is gorgeous. www.abc.net.au/news/deeptime/ #sschat #edusky
John Green has made a very complex story of global health inequities into an entirely accessible & human story. I don't think I've ever read a non-fiction book in one sitting.
Congratulations @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social on writing another exceptional book that will likely be banned.
"A bad thing doesn't stop happening to you just because it stops happening to you. In therapy this is called trauma."
I found this book much more challenging to read than There There. I recommend reading it only when you're feeling well resourced & resilient. An important but very heavy novel.
Another dream come true - @k8lister.bsky.social & @drjaninaramirez.bsky.social in the same podcast episode ❤️
You would be fabulous together as an ongoing series (just saying...)

Full of deliciously debatable historical & ethical questions. Definitely listen to this one so you can enjoy narration by @dancarlin.bsky.social
Hardcore History fans will love this one.

I binged it up until Persia and then I lost momentum. I took a break for a few months, skipped the rest of Persia, and I'm now back to bingeing. Happy listening 😊

I waited to read this until I thought I was ready to handle it. I was never going to be ready. Beautifully written & horrific. A must read.

I'd love to hear a series about tea or sugar, or something like The Balfour Declaration.

Thank you to Lucy Gray for another exceptional GLOW conference.
This quotation you shared today sums up why global education is so important. Thank you for motivating us to stay hopeful.

@kwamesarfomensah.bsky.social have you featured @teach4justice.bsky.social on your podcast? So much of his keynote at #GLOW2025 made me think of your work.
Looking forward to watching the rest of his fantastic TEDx talk: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjTU...

I've taught about #WWII for years & this was a history I knew nothing about.
Thank you @rutasepetys.bsky.social for this incredibly important book.

Like reading along with someone else. Love it!
One of the most important (& infuriating) books I've ever read. Everyone needs to read this.
