NEW: The Communication Workers of America (CWA) has confirmed that a number of union members are expected to be impacted by the layoffs being made across Microsoft's video game division.
The CWA represents hundreds of employees across Microsoft subsidiaries such as ZeniMax and Activision Blizzard.
As one illustration of just how sloppy and chaotic today's mass Xbox layoff has been, some employees at Zenimax Online Studios are now watching their Slack accounts abruptly get locked out. No message from HR, no word on whether they still have a job, just an ominous Slack deactivation
This fucking sucks, working on a game for 7 years to just have it go poof must be devestating. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by these layoffs, but I don't think words can do much right now
BREAKING: The new MMORPG project from Zenimax Online Studios, maker of Elder Scrolls Online, has been canceled as part of the Xbox layoffs, sources tell Bloomberg News. The project, code-named Blackbird, had been in development since 2018. Still more news to come this morning.
Xbox's fiscal year ends today but the mass layoffs that Bloomberg News reported on last week are expected to hit on Wednesday, for people wondering.

Yea I think it has enough of the Fallout DNA for at least one playthrough. You can get the game for pretty cheap these days and I would just play the main story, try some events, and I bet you'll have some fun. The world map is the best of the series
I feel pretty excited for Fallout 76 going into 2025. Feels like the Fallout TV Show gave this game a very exciting second (third?) wave. I think next year will be a good one

I just absolutely love Fallout 4. Making videos for this game is so enjoyable even still
Fallout 4 does not get enough credit for how many secret actions you can take. Killing (or not) characters opening up totally unique quest paths. The option to kill everyone but the Minutemen instantly. For a "bad rpg" this game does a lot of cool stuff I hope they revisit
