to be fair - if producers are gonna be sharing the job of producing (co-pros) - it’s only fair everyone else gets to share jobs too
i get that if the play is good then the acting is probably good and the sets probably good etc etc but yknow
i know it’s a bit pointless to feel any particular way about the olivier’s as someone working in scotland but i felt this abt the cats too so - these judges really do just sit in the same 5 theatres and nominate whatever they see In There
why are clothes all oversized now. what about normalsized. correctsized. actualsized.
why can i hear bagpipes. there’s not even a match on

Many, many, many will spend the coming months if not trying to suppress the truth of what has been done to Gaza, then insisting that they didn't know, we didn't know, just how bad it was.
We have all known enough to know. It has always been right here at our fingertips.
Ah, my favourite Sound of Music scene, when Reverend Mother calls Maria a cunt face.
is it multidisciplinary or is it just video content
plus - concerts have conceded a lot to The Phone, which a lot of artists complain about, but u cld say it allows them to be freer with camerawork onstage. if theatre let audiences on their phones then cameras onstage might be less cringe
also thinking a loooot about (re)mediatisation and live events… a lot of performing to the camera (not us) here but then many ppl already experience concerts thru their phone cameras - why not do the remediatising for us, in better quality
charli xcx gig was like being bathed in light. just excellent scenography & design. every concert shld have at least 3 kabuki drops
once panto is over i will go back to my #hema club and do a lot more sword posting probably
overall 3/10 for actual swordfighting but 8/10 for entertainment. kicking pirates in the butt (literally) >> historical accuracy
the distance management is terrible but again points for switching to grappling when they’re very very close
as usual for stage/tv sword fights, spending way too much time in the bind but they get points for binding mostly in the strong
secondly, they’re using rapiers as if they were cutting weapons - slashing side to side - rather than thrusting & winding as they’re intended for
ok but actually. first they’re using modern fencing-style rapiers, which according to the three ish youtube videos ive seen is not very accurate to the setting (peter pan pirates)
choni 4ever 4real
judging my panto’s swordfight scene according to european historical martial arts standards
