I think it’s time for us to give up the fallacy of “making the case” or that there is a true “broader public” that exists in anything but the most abstract sense. Not sure if those things ever existed but even if they did they do not now.

Thanks for explaining that. I’m not following all the Epstein stuff as closely as I should. It’s one of those stories that’s just too large and too dark to really take on, especially when I don’t think there will be any accountability in at least the near term.

The two things that I think REALLY separate Millennials and Gen X, are

1. Gen X was born into a declining world - that's what undergirds their stereotypical cynicism. But Millennials were came of age during an upswing. Only to have every good thing systemically taken away from them.
