My life, and the world in general, got a lot more content-oriented and time-fragmented since Twitter launched. It feels almost disrespectful to the writer _and_ the reader to post tiny thoughts fighting for space alongside all the others.

Checking in on here. But got to admit I largely find microblogging - mastodon too - just too haphazard and chaotic for what I want from life these days.
I'm slowly setting up a process to turn tiny text files into collated blog posts in the style of 6days.exmosis.net/2026/03/05/f... - feels nicer.
Yeah, that 1-d list definitely forces the issue. Been circling this with a spreadsheet, but when things go crazy I always ignore it and revert to a text doc for the day/week. And then ignore that when an urgent request comes in... 🤔
Sorry, I forget to check bsky for useful info like this :) Thanks for the link and the intro @jot.is - and yeah, up for a chat when I get a mo! (Probably after the Easter hols currently...)
Hello b-skies. Any tips or tools for managing #freelance work across multiple clients?
I'm thinking through how to be more visible around capacity, planning and priorities. So I don't go mad.
Making decent progress fighting off AI crawlers today. A delicate dance of distributed IPs, navigating client accounts & permissions across multiple WAFs. Looks like some useful resources to try hooking up later too, and a few weeks overhauling dev practice and testing structures.
Loving it though.
Got the tube for the first time in ages at the weekend and now feel like I need a guide to which holds are socially appropriate for temperature, sleeve length, time of day etc.
And that's why all of these issues are interconnected.
There's no environmental justice without social, racial & economic justice.
The struggle is between the super rich & those clinging to power and the rest of our society.
Solidarity with those oppressed. Today & always.
Whilst the population - egged on by the media - are divided and attacking migrants, trans people and/or the disabled - we're not talking about the real threat.
Inequality.
And you can imagine why the super rich don't want us talking about that.
It's the same powers destroying our communities, our democracy & our environment.
We must protect trans people from the vile attacks through love & solidarity.
It doesn't always show up as coming from the billionaire class but it's one of the few things that has trickled down.
Photo of an auditorium with a large projection showing the Fixfest 2025 title.
Day 2 of #fixfest about to kick off. Already had a great evening social talking about preservation, archives, memories, learning, communities, access and power. Everything is connected.
Also bloody well done. I'd have been tempted to buy a whole new phone 😅
Best tip I ever read was to scan the floor sideways with a torch (or flashlight) to pick out the shiny things easily.
Hi bsky. Looks like I'll be around London Victoria for a couple of hours at Friday lunchtime - any recommends for great, free exhibitions to check out?
(Alternatively, also available for chats and coffee ☕😀)

Posted a big Pebble update! ericmigi.com/blog/july-pe...
A recent apache update broke a bunch of nginx-based sites this morning. If you're getting a 421 error, you'll need to add some proxy_ssl config to nginx's setup quickly.

Nice tech shakedown of yet another #Meta tracking technique. Already got uBlock and FB Disconnect extensions, but time to uninstall Insta from the phone finally.

Today's #recordstoreday pickups (except Forbidden Planet). But best bit was getting pushed to go by #son1 for the first time, and experiencing that early morning #rsd queue rush.
Is this not a global phenomenon? 🙃
Did a blogpost yesterday, a quick and hacky rundown of running backups based on the current energy mix:
