Ironically, the Go-Man books DO contain robot characters but that's another reason why generative AI sucks - I can't enjoy robot stories anymore! And robots rule!

This is actually pretty clever because everyone immediately made the brand connection without even thinking about it while it's just a standalone low budget movie with a single word title, so it get a little notoriety boost without having to pay Hasbro a cent.

About teaching an eleven-year-old Magic: we have a How to Play Magic area in the Bibloplex (I still cannot get over the part where THEY BUILT ME A BIBLIOPLEX). A dude came in with his daughter. He already knew and enjoyed Magic, but she didn't want to learn from her dad. Kids sometimes don't.
Okay, I won’t elaborate but the pre-climactic battle was unexpectedly cathartic.
I *do* think the writers forgot the idea of the raptors “being animals not monsters” by the climactic battle but whatever.
Okay, I was wrong. This movie has a heart and it’s the Tyrannosaurus Rex family. I love them and I want them to thrive.
Okay, while I’ve got questions about some of the filmmaking and/or acting choices, I have to give props to the creative team for what they accomplished on a modest budget. Like, the dinosaur visuals are very impressive.
Okay, I am enjoying Tricia Helfer as Sofia, the Russian paleontologist who is *not* coping well. I appreciate the character/film emphasizing that dinosaurs are wild animals, not monsters.
Probably about halfway through it and the first time I had an emotional reaction was when one of the rexes was imperiled.
Watching “Primitive War” and the word that sums it up so far is… flat. The performances, the cinematography, the music - largely* devoid of depth or heart.
*Okay, I do enjoy the dinosaur visual effects, especially the rexes.
