Most of the videos on this site are not loading for me today, and taking down our 'internet shields' only fixes about 20% of that. It might be our setup here, but is anyone else experiencing this?
We could have largely electrified our country and built super trains everywhere for a similar bill, and that is the real scandal. The people with the piles of money would rather build hallucination machines that make CSAM than have a livable country to live in.
This is a very well selected cover image for this video. Bravo.
I am so relieved.
Well, for everyone besides their own CEO, who currently drives one.
If this movie is half as good as the trailer is making it look, then Zaslav is a cultural vandal of epic proportions. The only objection I can make is that the 3d/2d cartoon models look like they needed a bit of post production they didn't get, but they could fix that for the BluRay 'anime style.'
Every winter I see little old ladies sitting in the snow at our bus stops because most of them have no benches for some gods damned reason, and I weep for them, and for us. That we cannot even bother to provide a bench is one of the many ways in which the US is not even a civilization.
I had not seen this angle, before.
You can't, and ascribing real humans to it is a neat way of dodging that, in every way except for in reality.

The reason I have a keen interest in the experiment is that the operation of most chain groceries are rather opaque, and I wonder what a bit of public-facing pricing information would do for the overall market. How much of the famously thin margins is actually 'Hollywood Accounting,' hmmm?
Yeah, the key innovation here is bringing supermarket style margins pricing to areas that had been very resistant to it. One might interpret the result here as anti-small business but my impression is that New Yorkers are fond of about half of their bodegas, and resent the rest.
If you create a shield of cheese then the attack dogs are too distracted snacking on tasty cheese!
Hey everybody! I am taking the helm of this classic American institution with @theonion.com and want to know what you fine folks would like to see from us.
Also, if the Onion revived the 'AV Club' and y'all did a 'Games Journalism Hour that Isn't Bought and Sold' it would do wonders for the information environment.
Being straight with you, I mean, as much as I can... I'd say just take the ethos of the onion and report straight news. In this environment, you can tease humor out of news easily, and it would maximize the benefit of low-info people tuning into IW without realizing. They might become medium-info?
Right? Gone Home (and other games in its footsteps) is very plot driven, rather than mechanics driven, and yet it maintains the interactive aspect. It felt more like a living play, or a movie that you got to participate in than... any previous game, really?
What; furries and satyrs? And I hear CS Lewis is even against putting your leader's head in a jar so he can rule forever, like Trump is planning on doing. They'll mount his JAN system right on top of the golden statue in his ball room so he can gaze down on his subjects, dontchaknow?
'Netflix at home' continues to improve.
That poor crop was like a bad joke at his expense *swats you with a hat*
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
I think it would be more fun if it was just Foghorn Leghorn with an otherwise human/normie funny animal cast. The human variation could be great by stretching how far we can go without anyone asking why he is a giant chicken.
this is an utterly bizarre thing for *any* company to put out, much less a defense company
Foghorn Leghorn would be a very amusing room mate, and I feel like you could tease an entire animated sit-com series out of that concept.
I worry that is the game. They saw the early research, realized this tech could cure almost everything, and then decided to demonize it and keep it for themselves.
It's not a tragedy so much as it is a crime spree, and it is very consistent behavior. These people want us to be made obsolete, not healed. They are investing in what they want. We should bear this in mind.
Denying credit to any independent journalist not a part of their rape-omerta club (even as they rip off their stories) is an important control technique these sick creeps have come up with. They want people to think the only valid news is news filtered through the most compromised people on earth.
I had a review from someone with that sort of block, before! It was actually very kind, even though she couldn't get into the protagonist's perspectives, which is half of the fun of the book?
The binders actually contained detailed descriptions of all of -their- crimes, and a promise that if they went along with this antichrist they would get away with them.
