Exactly! There are so many creators on BookTok that champion libraries, indie authors, Libby etc. you need to be intentional about what type of content you’re engaging with and who you follow

I just started reading Ten Incarnations of Rebellion by Vaishnavi Patel and have been enjoying it so far!

lumping all of BookTok together does a great disservice to the marginalized creators who have always been talking about diverse books. These conversations about BookTok never question why the platform heavily favors certain type of content and hardly encourages people to follow marginalized creators

all the #BookTok slander I’ve been seeing the past few days by other bookish communities is quite frustrating ngl. While yes, the most popular side of BookTok definitely has its issues, the side I was on always recommended diverse books and championed marginalized authors. #diversebooks
