Very much agree and wonder if Kayden Proctor Bama' OT fits a similar bill, i.e. has more growing up to do so he can truly tap his potential. Not exactly a Proctor fan but maybe Dan/Brad/Hank think they can get it out of him. Kinda like boring but reliable Blake Miller from Clemson.

Wonder if Blake Miller suffers from over exposure, i.e. played 50+ games at Clemson, we know everything about him, kind of boring vs. Freeling who is shiny new object and "could have a higher ceiling" but forgetting the lower floor part.

Good point but also wonder if they will go more 3 safety or nickel look this upcoming season similar to SEA did last yr., but key is having healthy BB and Kerby which is very TBD. Maybe will depend on who they draft, if a good LB can have 3 on the field but nickel/3 safety if stronger there.

Your group write ups have been a lot of fun to read, balance between insightful analysis and damn good wit and humor. Thank you for creating this interesting and fun football content.

Thanks because I wasn't sure, esp. regarding Mauigoa. Secretly hoping it would push him down enough so DET could jump up to get him but probably no such luck. Intrigued by McCoy, hopefully his medicals are good. Do feel Brad will go BPA and get a good player but may make fans head explode.

Have this saved for next week and was curious if you weigh injury history in your rankings, i.e. Mauigoa going back for medical recheck? Rank based on film and talent and give the injury stuff a pass because you don't have access to actual injury status?

DET has 9 picks in this draft but 7 are on day 3. Better chance to package them to move up or trade out and add to 2027 draft ammunition as well as ammo for 2026 trade deadline?

Thanks! Amazing to see Gibbs, LaPorta & BB in the top 13 redraft. Wonder if it is best to do this 3 yrs later, & where Jack Campbell would land.

Also Nuca at #9 just shows me how having Stafford throwing the ball elevates WRs. How many guys have had ALL time seasons with him? Calvin, Kupp, Nuca!

Also tip of the hat for "The Pitt" having ICE in some of their S2 episodes and showing the impact of just their presence at a hospital.

Very fun read. Any chance you have a link for the 2023 Redraft? Just want to have some good vibes looking back at that one and how the Lions did, though mostly work done in first 2 rounds.

Nice to see Charles Demmings on your list, hope he is there in the 4th rd for Lions to pick. Seems like the kind of guy to draft and develop.

FYI @nickbaumgardner.bsky.social has a great article on the sleeper pick of Charles Demmings that Matt Miller mentioned on @korywoods.bsky.social last question of the podcast. Definitely a great read.

Always great when the person you choose to write an article on turns out to be pretty darn cool as well, root for guys like Qwan'tez. Currently enjoying reading your piece w/Chris Burke on Reacting to "The Beast"...is i in podcast form anywhere? Chris has a good dry wit that would pair well with you

Great long read, think you did a similar piece on Qwan'tez Stiggers a couple years ago, the CB that had quite a path to the NFL that went through the CFL. Really enjoy when you sink you teeth into a long form piece and tell a heck of a good story, thank you.

Thanks for putting together good examples of past draft trades for context. My concern is that the '27 draft is considered much better then the '26. If Brad does move up, maybe he's banking on thought DET will have better record, making a 2nd in'27 more of a late 2nd pick, a big if but possible.

Definitely less clicks and likes here but I also think mostly real people, less troll farm aspect and *hit posting then on Xitter. Still go there for some folks but mostly to click on an article. So thankful that @erikschlitt.bsky.social (who spells his 1st name the best way...lol) does link here.

Water is warm and nice and tends to be less jerks here. Would be nice if you folks posted more on here so I don't have to go to the Xitter site. I will say that @erikschlitt.bsky.social is pretty good at doing that here and appreciate that.

Thanks for posting this here, not always checking on Xitter, and going there less and less, to much garbage popping up when just trying to find solid news.

First off, like shopping at TJ Maxx & finding deals there, just have to really pick through all the stuff...lol.

Also wonder if Brad keeps $ back into the season to allow for mid season trade, like the Zadirus trade. Usually easier to get a player from a team giving up on a season at trade deadline

Like all this trading around but is it more likely that DET takes Miller at #28 & trade up for TJ Parker or do you have Parker rated ahead of Miller? Definitely like all this moving around the board since Brad has soon that he does that. Wonder if he might trade up as well...if Downs or Bains slide?

Like overall & fav is probably B.Clark who I hope is there in the 4th rd. I just wonder if Brad can trade back a little & still get Miller. i.e. he is like the 25-30th BPA, not 17 & can afford to trade back, maybe pkg a 4th rd. pick & slide back to get a 3rd. Miller has high RAS but is he that good?

Would they move Miller to LT or Sewell? Thought Miller was a 4 yr. starter at RT for Clemson, figured they would keep Miller there and move Sewell. If they went Freeling or Lomu maybe put them at LT and leave Penei at RT. Key Q is if Miller, move Penei to LT or keep him as All-Pro RT?

Love your list as a fellow Chicagoan, up on the north side, so zero in on Uptown, Lincoln Sq and Ravenswood recommendations. My daughter is on spring break and doing "staycation" mode so finally going to do a proper Pilsen pilgrimage, and your list is super helpful on places to check out, Thank you!

Good read & also reminds me that one of Brad's wise moves was NOT resiging Golladay. Agree with your, "No bad contracts" vs. swing and miss in FA.

Guys like Puka & Kupp having ok 40's but being quicker then fast types at similar size, think Boston should of have ran, was solid in gauntlet drill.

Has more career sacks (30) in 6 seasons then AQM (26) in 8 seasons. Also wonder how much "up to" 6mil the up to part is lifting. Think solid addition, Edge-3, would be a good compliment to an edge draft pick like Gabe Jacas, Malachi Lawrence or Derrick Moore type in R2 if they go OT R1.

Thanks for the more detailed information, really good program for players in the league. Interesting that it is the same pool of $16.9m for each team. Makes me think that is a FA is deciding between different teams and similar $, go with the one where he could get most snaps/make in impact.

Like that in your mock it seems the pick of tier 2 OTs has a lot to choose from and would like if Freeling makes it to DET. My only worry is someone jumping up in front of DET to grab Freeling. Could see LAR-13, BAL-14, TB-15, NYJ-16 all be willing to move down a little in the 1st for extra picks.
