Soldering DIN connectors with The Potato is so easy and relaxed. It even reminds you to install the sheath. What could go wrong?
These vertical DIP switches are really ugly to assemble🤮🤮🤮. The pins are never aligned and they don’t stay in place. Every of them is a puzzle. The piano style ones and the horizontal are way easier.
The original C64 has an audio in. That is not for recording purposes, but it can be routed through the filter of the SID. The ultimate 64 has connected the 2nd audio (stereo) channel to it. I guess, it is the same with the C64 ultimate,
I even have to watch TV (and take screen shots with a camera with flash - boomer style😉).
I still don’t have DSL internet. After a week talking to hotlines for four hours. My mobile network reception is close to zero, too.
Maybe he has a fake thing thing going on. For what else did he marry the ex Secretary of Cosplay?
#meToo 🤣🤣🤣
I would put the thin plastic bags for vegetables in the supermarkets on the list. It is hard to open them without blowing at them. Definitely the worst part of the pandemic, when we had to wear masks.
I prefer the bum gun, that I have in my daddy bathroom. It connects to the water tap and I can turn the temperature to whatever I desire.
Happy Easter egg day, y‘all!
I had repaired one previously. That had a broken PLA and CPU. My chicken shack C16 was totally rotten, but it worked on power up. It was just a cleaning issue.
Those parts were kind of ok after a bath in citric acid. Many of the keyboard springs were just broken. Finally, I used a spare keyboard. The old one became my spares keyboard.

I actually really don’t care, which is strange, because I have followed the US space missions with great interest. It is just, that I prevent the news from this country as much as I can, now. I am tired.
Glass, paper, metal, plastic, tetra packs, electronic waste, wood. Landfill is costly.
A very corroded C16 mainboard
The metal parts were pretty corroded. The smell was like chicken shack.
That cheap?
Some years ago, I have bought Geos floppy disks and found a letter from the previous owner saying: „ I did buy a (NS DOS PC, but don’t get along with it, so I am sitting here with my trustee C64 to write this letter to you…“ 🙂
We don’t have such a thing, because we have to pay for plastic bags. So we bring our own containers and bags. I can hardly remember, how the plastic bags look like.
Ready for some retro yuck?
Und Zertifizierungszwang. Das ist an sich nichts Schlechtes. Aber es hält auch die Kleineren vom Markt.
Probably, it will.
Ich glaube, dass sich vor allem die politische Denkweise von allen anderen unterscheidet. Da geht es oft um Machterwerb und -ausbau und nicht wirklich darum, was für alle oder die Zielgruppe gut ist.
Definitely looks good on video nudge nudge wink wink 😉

Did you know, that the AMTECH NC-559-ASM flux is fluorescent in UV light? That is for making checking for a proper cleaning easier.
Now comparing it to the Eevblog and the Fluke multimeter. The source may be slightly off.
I am trying to understand my precision source (U, I, R, f). It is not very intuitive. And I don’t know, how well my multimeters are calibrated. Good enough for normal work.

You might have success with a wifi repeater placed at the window.
