I think progress this week was slower than i thought it would be. A lot of the time was spent fixing and grouping up the ai’s model that I used as a base so for the kodels coming foward I’ll make them completely from scratch. Besides that, I’m happy with what I ended the sprint with!

I drew up some NPC concepts for our game! The first picture are regular enemy concepts and the second are two boss ideas.
The model is just about complete! I’ll add a few adjustments in Maya and get to UVing!
Found out the ai models really arent good for hard surface modeling, i’m having ro go theough and manually group each edge when refining. I’ll stick to what i’ve been doing before lol.
I’ve settled on a design for the protagonist! I tried putting the sketch into a site called Tencent Hunyuan that makes ai models after being recommended it. I’m using the model as a base to get started on the model and see how it goes.
Starting out my studio class and making a new game with my classmates! Here are the first designs for our protagonist, a robot with modular arms.

Set dressing is underway! Cave is complete so now it’s time to add water and props. I also edited some models’ textures to make them fit in with the other rocks more.
Added actual sand to landscape! Currently pissed at unreal/ my laptop because said laptop keeps ruining the project >:(
