I left Wacom for five years and came back after not finding any better alternatives. Are you using a Mac or a PC? Apple has a bad way of making old devices and software unusable on their operating systems.

The new cintiqs are much lighter and thinner, if that helps. Screens are good, pen pressure has improved, but the actual pen is flimsy and a button has already fallen off. Hope this helps!
