I once found a spaniel puppy and someone recognised it as I was carrying it to the vet to check for a microchip so I carried it a km to its home, to find the owner didn't even know it had managed to escape and I had to watch as he not-quite-gently scooted it indoors with his foot.

There's one near me that has an odd mix of nativist, pagan, reform, and St. G flags slithered all over it. Honestly the cognitive dissonance trying to perceive it all at once is like whiplash

I would argue that BG3 is distinctively 'Larian' (which is not a criticism in of itself, since I also enjoyed Divinity 2 a lot) but it doesn't quite nail the gritty feel of BG1+2 for me (imho). They also weren't perfect (both 2E but mechanics changes mean ranged characters taken into 2 suffer etc).
