Saint Paul faces real challenges, but Iโm still optimistic. Iโve seen the momentum firsthand at @sustainstpaul.bsky.social, with community members, partners, and local leaders all stepping up.
Every gift this month is matched up to $1,500. Help us get there: www.sustainstpaul.org/donate
Hear, hear! Thank you, @seankershaw.bsky.social
We're no strangers to love; you know the rules, and so do I
What have been your most practical and/or satisfying ways of increasing #2 and #3?
This sounds incredible, Ethan. Thanks for your work to write this! I'll look forward to reading it.

The sentiment of this comic came to my mind when I read this article from today's Star Tribune: www.startribune.com/republicans-...
Frustrating to see Republicans balk at the cost of transit projects even as we pay far more to widen I-494 and replace the Blatnik Bridge by Duluth.
I was bummed to miss this, so I'm glad the video is available. Thanks for sharing!
This April, we are working to raise $1,500 by April 30 to unlock a full matching gift.
Every dollar will be DOUBLED.
If you care about thoughtful growth and a welcoming Saint Paul, now is the time to give.

FYI I'm pretty sure that image with the Capitol in the back is AI-generated. That's not where the Capitol, Landmark Center, and Cathedral are located in relation to each other.
Here is the long-awaited recording from last week's presentation Solving Saint Paul's Fiscal Challenges with Urban3!๐ต๐๐๏ธ
Thank you for the overwhelming interest in both the event and the video!๐

No Kings #TwinCities
This is a great idea.
THANK YOU for attending our presentation Solving Saint Paul's Fiscal Challenges with Urban3!๐๏ธ๐๐ต
This incredible turnout demonstrates both the urgent need for data-driven solutions as well as the commitment and love that Saint Paul residents have for our city.๐๐๏ธ
"And remember, there's no problem too small, no task too big, for government to solve." As fun and silly as this initiative is, it's also powerful.
I want gov't to be able to do big things. But before it can, people need to trust it (mostly, they don't). And maybe this is a step to rebuild trust.
Another strange thing about the report is that they didn't use the proper interrogative pronoun in its title: "Abundance For Whom?" ๐
St. Paul charges property owners quite a bit for buildings and not much at all for vacant land, a perverse disincentive, in the eyes of critics, to fill vacant lots. What if we flipped it? Could a "land value capture" tax be the panacea this city needs? www.twincities.com/2026/03/24/s...
It has bothered me for years that there is no pedestrian refuge island in the middle of Hamline Avenue for Concordia students between Concordia Ave and Marshall Ave. Macalester students, meanwhile, have had refuges on both Grand and Snelling for years.
I follow City stuff fairly closely, and I had know idea the City was angling to use Common Cent $ on projects that weren't in the list that voters approved in the ballot referendum. And that's where I want the $ to be spent. So I'm glad the Appeals court ruled this way.
Excited for this!! We need city-wide conversations about strategies to build a stronger economic future for Saint Paul and Heather Worthington and the @sustainstpaul.bsky.social team are the perfect people to be leading that charge.
I can confirm: they have! The data is current, and shows how downtown property values have plummeted post-COVID and post-Madison Equities. It's a key topic.
I'm in this Venn diagram with you
Go talk to the knowledgeable folks at The Cargo Bike Shop in Ward 4 (Selby, just west of Snelling by the Rose Street Patisserie)! Even if you're not looking at an electric *cargo* bike, they'll really helpful.
See you there!
Outrageous
It most certainly was.
New drive-thrus contribute comparatively little to our tax base and undermine the millions of dollars our city has spent on transit-oriented development.๐๐๐
๐ฃJoin us TODAY in calling on the city council to restrict their construction near transit stops!๐งต/4
