hello from beautiful downtown Westopolis
Transferring to 705 at Louisiana Ave TC next to I-394. Really easy transfer and pretty quick from downtown. Park-and-Ride lightly used tho. Wish we had more frequency on 645.
About 10 mins from downtown. made it through West End/St Louis Park and this notoriously busy Costco.
A midday meeting in Golden Valley means transit adventure on Rt 645 and 705.

It was a little too sunny to be outside so I decided to spend my Sunday afternoon in a middle school auditorium.
it was great celebrating gold line with everyone today. packed house even in a cold day!
we’re doing a special gold line tour for all the gold line staff before the official opening this weekend
‼️ Changes coming to downtown St Paul on 5th and 6th Sts with the Gold Line opening this weekend ‼️ We’re rebalancing stop assignments for several routes to accommodate more buses on busy downtown streets, implementing “skip-stop” patterns largely by route types. Check your boarding locations!
🎺 We’re upgrading all our riders to Transit Royale, the subscription in Transit 🎉 Ride with friends, customize your theme, and compete for the crowdsourcing crown on your line. Metro Transit riders are getting the Royale treatment 👑🚍
Hello Bluesky. Regular route bus service and Metro micro service is resuming now. Delays and detours are anticipated while we work to safely get back on schedule. Use NexTrip and Show My Bus to track estimated departures and bus locations in real time. Light rail service continues as normal.
first time seeing Gold Line on Transit app!
I can’t pinpoint why but this feels wrong?
Looks like it’s at the garage. Call 612-373-3333 and they may ask you for when/where you were on the bus to locate the vehicle.
Yeah totally agreed on that front, which we don’t really do often unfortunately. Clear need for an empowered governance body who can navigate the ownership issues and mediate/negotiate amongst owners/operators with public benefits in mind.
For passenger uses, I think missing Des Moines is a major flaw but yeah this makes lots of sense…..
where did defense go

snowy quiet saturday bus ride vibe perfect for an end-to-end ride on route 11
LCD type NexTrip real time sign showing bus arrival times at Marquette and 7th Street.
Our LCD realtime signs now show the logo of service providers including the red T logo for METRO Orange Line. Maybe small but noticeable improvements.
people are talking about headway-based service? and I’m not even there?! oh wow

@alonlevy.bsky.social got a shoutout from our all-hands staff meeting today regarding his work on transit projects cost! (hopefully) we’re paying attention to global best practices!
cheers to your bravery in smoking pot on the skyway this wednesday morning at 9am. downtown, we’re so back.

on a cold day like today, knowing when a bus pulls out of the garage helps for my “garage-to-home” door-to-door express needs :)
