Finished session one of our The Elder Scrolls: BotSE game yesterday - about 7 hours! Undaunted and delves are the way to go for experience I guess - we have plenty! We thought a guild assist was imminent but the bard Battle of Glenumbra Moors and well-timed stealth helped pull it off.

The Elder Scrolls character tracker. The tracker is for a wood elf with 3 skills: legerdemain, speech, and one hand and shield. The character class is bard.

Yesterday was 4-player The Elder Scrolls: BotSE. We all managed to master our classes by the beginning of the third part of the first session. Thus my first time in a group focusing on delves - it’s not bad when you have classes focused on maneuvering and supporting.

No Thanks, Love Letters (though we prefer the Star Wars Jabba’s Palace version), Flip 7, Fluxx, and Sea Salt & Paper are enjoyable card games, IMO.

Board games - so many to choose from! Are you looking for light, medium or heavy? And what kind of player count?

We played a couple weeks ago and one of the other players wanted to play the next weekend as well. It was a hit with us!

Played Top Frog, a nice little card game about frogs & hats, last night. Score was even at the end, which was pretty good since we both started confused. 😁

We liked it and might take it to our friends’ place so we can explain it is NOT like Slapjack like he thought. 😜

We spent the afternoon at our local game cafe. We played Toy Battle, which was on both of our “want to try” lists, and Targi, recommended by an employee. Both were good - Toy Battle was thinkier than expected, and Targi, which I’d never heard of, was an excellent 2-player game!

Learning Leviathans this evening. Not a great game to play with someone who’s very lucky with die rolls! First round hubby’s ship blew up. 💥

The next scenario we added torpedoes. It’s like playing chess…

Board games, I don’t think so. Video games, for sure.

I have a coworker who’s gone for a few years - when I mentioned the gaming hall, she shrugged. (She’s there for the panels and autographs) I think we’ll try to go down next year.

Depends on the day… 😝

Didn’t know they had a gaming hall there! I’ve contemplated going the last 2 years, but have passed. Now I know!

Playing 4-player March of the Ants, without any expansions to start with. Interesting game - we all agree we’d like to play again a few times so we can learn the intricacies.

Played another session of Tales from the Red Dragon Inn with our kids earlier this week. Had to switch down to story mode just so those of us who worked the next day could get to bed. Top it off with our cleric player misunderstanding one of their abilities, we almost lost that one.

Thank the dumbass in charge of the country.

The republicans especially have been trying to privatize USPS for years & spreading misinformation to erode public opinion. (Source: postal employees)

We really like this game! Taught it to several people and some gave picked it up for their own collection.

Great game - we taught someone who was used to traditional board games and he asks to play routinely now.

We’ve been fortunate that most of our co-op games go well. We do have one friend who prefers their way and gets snitty with their spouse if things go awry.

Work, dog baths, and either starting some seeds or clearing out garden beds. (It’s unseasonably warm here in the Midwest US - about 70 degree difference between Monday and today.)

In a good way? I’ve never heard of it.

Dinner, dessert and #boardgames with friends this evening. Played Cartographers, which I won (thanks to a lot of time playing on the app), and Star Wars: Jabba’s Palace, which I barely eked out a win on. It was a good evening!

We’re in a similar state. Many of our games are an hour plus - sometimes we only want to commit 30 minutes, but don’t want to play the ones we have.

Firefly board game took us 6 hours with 4 players when we learned it. We’ve also done marathon sessions of The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era. But I get up and wander during those or I get super achy!

Sci-fi is fun, but I’ll take fantasy as well.

Played Echoes of Time and Roll for the Galaxy yesterday with some of our friends.

First time I didn’t win EoT, but RftG our scores were all within 2 points of each other.

Good day of #boardgames!
