Trump is trying to frame her as the incumbent, which isn't a dumb tactic -- but at least in this room, it's not working.

One of our faculty members, Alana Taylor, talked to the room about climate change prior to the debate.

Something that Trump is *excellent* at: reframing.

Example: Most people would look bad and weak for having so many ex-employees speak ill of him, but he's reframed it about being tough enough to fire poor performers.

#twudebate Reminding the audience about McCain's thumbs-down was a smart way to respond to the Obamacare issue.

Harris keeps bringing up Project 2025, which Trump has disavowed. But it does exist, and its writers are associated with him.

Trump keeps referring to plans about taking guns away that no one has proposed.

A note about NATO, since it's part of the context for this part of the debate. It's a treaty. Our Constitution makes our treaties the supreme law of the land. If we were to abandon our NATO allies, we would be violating the Constitution.

It'll be interesting to see how people on the Right react to the fact-checks. They've been correct, but I anticipate it'll be played as biased.

Party conventions don't work like regular elections. What happened with Harris's nomination was unusual for the modern era but not a violation of any election law or the Constitution.

Many of those judges were GOP, some appointed by Trump. His lawyers couldn't get a case through a court system that requires evidence.

The best analysis of the January 6 events took place during the January 6 Committee hearings. Virtually everyone testifying was from Trump's team or state GOP.

The transgender operations on illegal immigrants in prison came out of nowhere. Big reaction in this room (not a positive one; laughter). #twudebate
