It seems to me like a lot of people haven't followed the details of why folks have issues with Substack, and basically assume that leaving the platform for moral or social reasons just automatically means giving up money. But I don't think that's supported by the actual math.

We found out several things during the wait. 1) target uses AI for theft prevention which often falsely targets people. 2) they purposly don't notify you if you don't scan all items in a self checkout lane. 3) if u hit the ok button on the self checkout and you miss an item they say thats stealing

I have lost so much my dad to Covid my sister unexpectedly on my birthday.
I’m just trying to keep my mom alive and keep us from being swallowed by this never ending broken cycle the system was designed to keep us in.

I am sitting on the floor listening to the ambient noise of conference chatter and escalator hum and people keep looking to see where my phone is plugged in.

It's not, I just need floor time.

Spending a truly weird amount of time at this conference out of my body, mindlessly munching pineapple and staring at escalators
