Staleness of the format is real though. How often are they going to adjust the BnR for the format? Would an LL board be appropriate? Probably not. I think there is a lot to consider when making choices for Skirmishes. Blitz served it's purpose but I think the game has evolved passed it's usefulness.

If they intend to run Skirmishes for new players, they can't rely on LL doing it either, same issue as blitz. SAge potentially fits the bill better than either. Low cost to build, lower time commitment, fewer blowouts. Losing can feel less punishing if you committed little to begin with.
Skirmishes are designed for new players who want to dip their toes into something competitive. I think the barrier to entry for Blitz is higher than LSS wants. Newer players could try their hand, but missing L's and M's can harm their experience, causing them to lose interest in future events.
In their last video teasing sage, young figment prism was in the lineup. Could mean something, could just be a poor use of art.
That isn't correct. Damage resolves before the chain link resolves. All of your on-hits would resolve (bloodrot, red in the ledger) as well. It checks for go again, and then Red in the ledger returns to your hand, concluding the chain link resolution step.
Assuming this is early or mid game, Take the kodachi, assume it's an attack (probably CnC) for 7 following. Block with the cuts. My turn - pitch the codex for dagger, pitch infect for other dagger.
I like seeing codexes and blue infect late game since it has a higher impact.
Every time I thought it couldn't get worse, it just kept going.
They said the focus of the set is daggers, so I think you should be good!
Right now, yeah, but I wonder if there will be more reactions that only require the "assassin" type of attack for a target.
I see the extended is going for about $20 which I'm sure won't hold.
