The campaign is now over, but late pledges are still open, and it's not too late to grab a copy. I'll try and keep them open for as long as possible! :D

Sharing some very early concept designs for The Firelight Isle!

I'm currently planning bonus material for the back of vol3, and this will be included! If there's anything you'd like to see in the back, let me know either here on in a comment on this update:

I get what you mean, but I didn't intend to write a satirical exaggeration of religion. Controlling cultures can just look absurd from the outside, and religion is a common conduit for control.

There are lots of historical punishments for symbolic transgressions like wearing particular dyes.

I find the parallels between the way that the Ara use masks and don't identify themselves and they way ICE behaves chilling.

Not exactly satire, but there's a lot of inspiration from real culture there, both past and present. I was especially looking at cults and specialist groups within fascist regimes when I did my research, which has become even more relevant now than it was when I started writing.

I've added a limited number of these foil prints as add-ons to my Kickstarter! There are only a few left, and they'll all come signed on the back.

It's been 15 years in the making, but we're here! A huge thank you to everyone who's supported the project, and an extra-huge thank you to my partner and co-author Kate.

No probs! :D I'm guessing you've listened to most of the Nightvale Presents ones? I loved Within the Wires as well. Thinking outside that network, if you like Sci-fi Horror, then Sayer is worth a try!

Me and Kate (co-author on The Firelight Isle) both love playing with unconventional panel layouts, so here are a few from across the story!

Finally collecting all three volumes in print right now!

Actually just realised it was 6! I was on Smack Jeeves (now dead) and Inkblazers (also dead, sadly, I liked that one!), and a part of the comic is still on The Duck Webcomics (which is so quiet it might as well be dead).

It was on 5 all at the same time at one point! XD

Thanks for pointing this out!! :D Always worth trying out a new platform, I love to see new companies trying out webcomics.
