Northumberland Street Phase 3 construction project is about to get underway.
This will replace critical stormwater^, water and sewage pipes and install new street, sidewalks and curbs.
Expect traffic closures and delays. #Fredericton

Just to put that into perspective: it’s 1.39% of 2025 revenues and that is good budgeting.
I’d expect NB Power’s 4.3% rate increase and the jump in prices at the pumps could cost the city another couple of million bucks.
All to say a carry forward is a good thing for unexpected operational costs
I agree. It provides a space for recreational activity that doesn’t cost a fortune.
Yeah. But here we are and we must remain focused on the future. A commitment to redevelopment starting with the middle school.
Did you know that was offered like maybe 10 or 15 years ago with cash and it was turned down?
My 2-cents: they agree on a lot more than most realize. We need to move forward, with speed and conviction. Now, not tomorrow.
My comment on replying from this account was only to say it’s me, not me as a candidate. While there isn’t any difference and I’d say the same under the other handle, I wanted to not be seen as taking a cheap tag-along.
Hope it was a great Sunday on your universe. It was a beauty day.
I am pretty sure we are aligned more politically than you expect.
I had 2hr chat last fall who said same & we left with 99.5% alignment.
Met former Green Party candidate on Sisson earlier this yr. I opened with ‘you’ll be surprised we likely agree on almost all’
Happy to grab a ☕️ and chat!
Replying under my personal account to say thanks for the kind words. Means a lot from folks like you who help make our community a better place.
My written words match my spoken and commitments. Many great convos in Sunshine Gardens today, incl one on a front porch.
Thankful to all for their time.
Are we once again moving toward a shelter location decision before two CSTF recommendations meant to guide exactly this kind of decision? This is not an argument against shelter. The need is real. It is an argument for doing this properly. #Fredericton open.substack.com/pub/ward10to...
I haven’t been keeping track of New Maryland as I’ve been a tad bit busy ;-)…what’s the 2026 election look like out your way?
Here is ENB unofficial list and encourage you to get to know each of the candidates in your ward and those running for mayor.

Nominations closed & assume Elections NB website is accurate to 2pm cutoff. Candidates can withdraw on Monday, but unlikely.
#Fredericton will see change with 7/12 councilors not re-offering* & mayor making it 8/13.
Ward 7: uncontested. Ward 5: 5 new names. Solid races in majority of wards.
I’m keeping an eye on: Ward 1 incumbent’s intent to re-offer and 3 candidates (wards 2, 3, and 7) who announced intent to run but have not yet appeared on Elections NB website.
With 5, Ward 5 has the most candidates and five others with 3 or 4 in the run for council.
#Fredericton
Well, the Returning Office had a busy afternoon. Ward 7 remains the only uncontested race with just under two days remaining to submit nomination papers. Deadline is tomorrow, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. Full unofficial list: www1.gnb.ca/Elections/en...
Yes, 6 in total.
FWIW: based on Facebook posts, I'm expecting at least one additional 'unofficial candidate' in both Ward 8 and 12. It's definitely an election of change, given the number of non-re-offerings, and 100% of the wards are contested. #Fredericton
There are a few new names on Elections NB's unofficial list of candidates for #Fredericton City Council. As the deadline to submit nomination papers approaches in less than two days, one incumbent (Ward 8) and one new candidate (Ward 12) are still running unopposed. www1.gnb.ca/Elections/en...
In January, I reached out to the Minister of Health, the CEO of Horizon, and the Premier (my MLA) with ideas for better utilizing the space at the DECH. I shared constructive suggestions rather than criticism.
I'm pleased to let you know that I heard back from the Minister today. #kudos #nbpoli

23 candidates with 3 now showing on ENB list of candidates for Ward 7.
4 wards showing one candidate and Ward 12 with zero.
I expect at least 2 names for Ward 12 and there is still loads of time to file papers.
