Reminder that the Gods don’t want your AI “art” as an offering.

Real art is an offering because it takes labor and it takes soul.

Yeah! If the artist appears out of nowhere, shows no skill progression on their portfolio, and don't show genuine works in progress - and the images have that telltale ethereal glow or creepy linework, think twice!

So people are straight up lying about the use of AI in the production of tarot decks on Kickstarter now. And then our occult faves are promoting them. Buyer beware. If it looks like a duck...

Today I learned that one Venusian Day is longer than one Venusian year: one day on Venus is 243 Earth days long, and one year is 225 days. Oh, and she rotates in the other direction compared to most other planets 😍

Unfortunately my local pagan events are littered with counterfeit decks. Distance/detachment from the larger community is for sure a factor here (geographically we couldn't be further from most artists/authors/publishers)

Okay now I want curly fries😞there used to be a restaurant called 'Hog's Breath' here that sold them... SO GOOD. Looks like there's a chain or two around Sydney still?

Is Cultural APPROPRIATION Hurting Modern Witchcraft? YouTube video by Activist Witch🔮

Cultural Appropriation in Modern Witchcraft. Including:

• Closed practices

• Open but culturally specific practices (tai chi, yoga, Buddhism, etc)

• White exceptionalism and exclusivity

• The importance of cultural exchange for cultural appreciation

Bonus points: no attachment to Amazon, incremental star readings, and the recommendations on there are pretty neat

A fellow student was wearing a pentacle ring at uni (college in U.S.?) I decided to strike up a conversation and she mentioned some local events, which I then went along to with her! So glad she was wearing obviously witchy jewellery 🌟

Community, Chaos and Cringe So this morning I was digging into an old Hotmail account, looking for an old login. A peek into the Junk folder revealed that Photobucket was holding my ancient archive hostage for $$, so I decide…

I got so excited about my Photobucket find I decided it was perfect for my 'C' post for the Pagan Blogging Project. #witchsky #pagansky

Thank goodness for my past of oversharing on the Internet... just downloaded all of my old Photobucket archive which was hooked up to ye olde Livejournal and retrieved almost 1000 photos I thought were lost forever. Contiki Europe snaps, proof of 2000s millennial cringe, it's all here.

The Tower card from the Gay Marseille Tarot. A pink stone tower is blasted by a multi-colored fiery bolt from the sky, knocking a crown-looking crenelation from the top. A cop and a judge fall from the Tower, while Marsha P Johnson and Stormé DeLarverie cheer from on high. Stormé holds a brick; Marsha raises her fist, and a rainbow Progress Pride flag flies from the Tower’s upstairs window. On the Tower are the words, “Stonewall Inn.”

We won’t be erased. We can’t be erased. We’ve proven that time and time again. The first Pride was a riot for a reason.

‘‘Afraid?’ murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love. ‘Afraid! Of HIM? O, never, never! And yet — and yet — O, Mole, I am afraid!’’ — Kenneth Grahame, ‘The Wind in the Willows’ (1908)
