Spirit guardians are sehashi who have died and have either chosen to return to act as guides or ones who have tethered their life force to an item--their change item or a weapon--and died before they could untether themselves. Regardless of how they came to be, they ar eno longer living.

They retain most of their memories but are unable to remember anything about the process. What little is known about it is the result of centuries of research by a sehashi named Shalidor.

Aside from humans, the tash kireil have the highest number of characters in the story. Tigron is the first one, introduced in 'Stars of Destiny: Light'. Despite his age, he's arguably the weakest of his group. Following his initial corruption, he fell into a deep sleep while he and Slither made their way to Earth. Rashuwo is an uncorrupted member of the tash kireil species.

He keeps his original species a close secret, pretending that his corruption is more advanced than it really is. Only Vulturia knows his secret.

Three of Team Typhoon's members go to Khun-Lun High School: Jin, Corentin, and Dumia. As an adult, Hyun doesn't attend school. Unlike EVHS, Khun-Lun has no uniform requirements. Its dress code, while sensible, is heavily enforced. There is a minumum lengths for shorts and skirts, no gang colours, no vulgar imagery and/or profanity, and clothing must be in good condition among other things.

The members of Team Archer all attend Elysium Valley High School. Students are required to wear a uniform and adhere to the guidelines for wearing it, such as keeping ties tied and shirts tucked in. Students are permitted to choose their own footwear within reason. There's an entire section in the student handbook dedicated to the subject.

Gehenna City is located on a terraformed extrasolar planet. The terraforming project was a joint operation between Earth and Radiphael with aid from Mejanell. Despite their involvement in the project, few radiphians choose to live there. While the city has a large population of mixed races, humans, rotillians, raeshen, alurians, nagreshh, and vesk make up the bulk of the population.

There is a large team of sehashi who call Gehenna City their home. While they haven't been around as long as the city itself, the Gehenna Gemstones are nonetheless a strong presence in the city. Onyx is the only founding member still active.

As with all things, someone had to be the first person in the galaxy to be a sehashi. Most of the information about her has been lost over the millennia. It's unknown if any members of the hivar race still exist. They are easily mistaken--on the surface at least--for humans and many of the older races in the galaxy mistook humans for hivar.

Team Typhoon got its name because the team members liked how it sounded. It's members are: Typhoon, Vega, Storm, and Silence. Storm and Silence had been working together for a few months before Typhoon and Vega joined them.

Sehashi teams are typically referred to by their leader's name or the most powerful member of the group. Elysium Valley is home to four distinct teams: Team Archer, Team Typhoon, Team Joker, and The Trio. There is mention of other teams and individual sehashi throughout the series.

Team Archer's members are: Archer, Pyre, Fate, and Shield. Joker is an unofficial member of their team, as he's the sole survivor from Team Joker.

Slither is the first member of the Lords of Chaos the sehashi of Elysium Valley encounter. He is one of the few that all four girls see in person, though not at the same time. After losing a battle against Archer and Pyre, he vanishes and they never see him again. Only the other members of his cell know what became of him.

Sehashi uniforms come in six colours: navy, cerulean, bronze, off-white, white, and black. There are seven types of uniforms, but the Celestials don't have a set colour to readily identify them by. Instead, they are identified as not having one of those six colours in addition to their 3 personal colors.

In 'Stars of Destiny: Elements', Elysium Valley's sehashi are up against a new enemy, one with different motivations that they saw when they were up against the Lords of Chaos. The Dorensha Jelushadar are looking for people who escaped them. To find them, they attack people to reveal their cheiulu. The word roughly translates to 'identity jewel'. They use a spell that crystalizes a person’s essence into a gem. It comes out of the body through the throat area without doing any damage to the body. Once a cheiulu has been obtained it can be used to control the person it came from. They can be returned to the body by a gifted healer but only if too much time hasn’t passed since it was removed.

The primary problem with calling forth a cheiulu is that one must use the correct phrase for the target in question. If one were to use the phrase for a cheikau on a hero sehashi it would produce what’s known as a cheibu or fake jewel. The gem initially appears as if the correct spell phrase had been used but quickly turns black and the person becomes what’s known as a lafodyu.
