If your website feels too normal, I made a web component for that.
It's for headlines like:

Not internal, no secrets. Just means Engage was running a CMS build from source.

We bump the version number as soon as a release goes out, regardless of whether it gets released or not, e.g. there won't be a official "beta2", next up will be "17.0.0-rc"

I made a video about setting up MCP and then asked AI to report on Umbraco content and media and make bulk updates. How did it go? Check it out below!

(I'd love to hear feedback on what you think of the video as well)

The Joy of Mixing Custom Elements, Web Components, and Markdown I love Markdown. I write faster and more natively in it than any other format or tool. If we zoom way out, here’s the most basic philosophy of Markdown: replace complicated stuff with simpler stuff. That’s all it does, really. I'm usually aware of most #umbraco related things going on... but today's #umbfyi newsletter highlighted an Umbraco Virtual Lunchtime Chat (today 12BST/13CEST) which I had zero awareness off, so they'll have a bonus attendee now! 😂 #UmbfyiEffect

Umbraco Icons Gallery A searchable gallery of Umbraco icons with copy-to-clipboard functionality

I missed an easier way to find #umbraco icons, than opening up the content type editor inside the backoffice. So a little vibing, and voila: skttl.github.io/umbraco-icon...
It fetches the icons from github when you load it, so it should always be up to date.

The time is right for a DOM templating API

Just published a new blog post on why I think it's time that the web platform added a declarative template API.

Let me know what you think!

As I find time, I'll be working on more of a concrete proposal over the next few months...

About the complexities, given I have limited free time to develop this, I end up spending 3 hours getting back up to speed, then 30 mins progressing, then realise it's the wrong approach, so I call it a day. Repeat weekly.

I'm still struggling to develop Content Blocks editor for #Contentment v6! But I did reverse my decision to remove it only about a month ago.

The trouble I'm having is understanding the complexities of nested editors, or that it's difficult doing all this solo. Guess I miss package collaborations!
