Our office just sent out the full list of Ohio House votes on House Bill 347 to our supporters. Ohioans should know how much or how little their lawmakers respect them.

Statement from @abortionforward.bsky.social following passage of House Bill 347:
Rep. Miller thanks CPCs... who take YOUR tax dollars to spread lies and try to shame people looking for information about pregnancy options.
"I'm tired of women being lied to about abortion." — SAYS POLITICIAN WHO THEN READS OFF LIST OF LIES ABOUT ABORTION
Anti-abortion zealot Melanie Miller slanders patients and providers.
Rep. @russo4ohio.bsky.social: "No other medical procedure requires a waiting period. ... Ohio voters are tired of being gaslit by this legislative body who tells them they didn't know what they were doing."
Rep. Jean Schmidt wants to unconstitutionally restrict Ohioans' access to abortion providers because the movie Juno exists.
Rep. @anitamd.bsky.social: Multiple studies show delays on care make no difference in changing the intent of patients.
Rep. @anitamd.bsky.social: Patients lose time, money, and medical options every time they are delayed and denied care because of restrictions.
The House tables the pro-IVF amendment along party lines.
Rep. Karen Brownlee moves to amend to make provisions for IVF. Rep. Williams demands the amendment be killed because he doesn't want to see the financial cost of increased access for IVF.
Rep. @desireetims.bsky.social calls for a point of order because of the inappropriate nature of Rep. William's floor speech. He's continuing to slander the Democrats in the room in an effort to make a political speech.
Rep. Williams is pushing this unconstitutional abortion restriction to campaign for Congress. He's willing to block people's ability to access medically-necessary healthcare in order to win a primary.
The previous restriction was blocked through a lawsuit filed by ACLU of Ohio on behalf of Preterm-Cleveland, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Women’s Med Group Professional Corporation, Northeast Ohio Women’s Center, and Dr. Catherine Romanos.
Research from the Ohio Policy Evaluation Network has shown that 24 hour waiting period laws “make it harder for patients to experience timely, safe, and routine health care and result in distressing challenges for abortion seekers.”
Abortion Forward Deputy Director Jaime Miracle said: “A state mandated 24-hour waiting period will harm patients by creating additional barriers to care and increasing costs of the procedure. For anti-abortion members of this legislature, this is a feature not a flaw.”
Rep. Odioso claims that his bill is about protecting women... by forcing them to make a unnecessary second trip to an abortion clinic and her expense. The real-world impact is an ABORTION BAN that has already been blocked by a court in Ohio.
The Ohio House is now debating House Bill 347, which would restore a 24-hour waiting period on abortion care in Ohio.
HB 249 just passed the House by a vote of 63-30. This is incredibly disappointing.
This bill is yet another attempt to silence and censor the LGBTQ community by denying drag performers their constitutional right to free expression.
Rep. @iamdontavius.bsky.social says he opposes the bill because it singles out people who are Trans or gender non-conforming and asks the question, "Should you exist in the public eye?"
