Saints are signing safety Justin Reid to play with Tyrann Mathieu, according to Adam Schefter. Mathieu played with Reid's older brother Eric at LSU. Per Schefter, it's a 3-year, $31.5 million deal, including $22.25 million guaranteed.

The Saints are re-signing TE Juwan Johnson to a 3-year deal according to his agent

As a reminder, a $15 million average salary in the NFL in 2025 is the equivalent of:

- a $12 million salary in 2023
- a $10.6 million salary in 2020

I’m told the Saints also reworked the contracts of Pete Werner and Demario Davis. So in total: Ramczyk, Carr, McCoy, Granderson, Ruiz, Saunders, Werner and Davis have had contracts reworked. The new league year begins Wednesday.
