Subpoena survival guide This guide explains what to do if you are working in a health or welfare role (or organisation) in NSW and have been served with a subpoena for confidential client records.

It's Murdoch rage bait though it impacts all counselling services and should have better protections. But there's good resources around eg www.legalaid.nsw.gov.au/ways-to-get-...

It copies the superscript but wrong. There's already a wiki page on groki verifying that groki is mostly a copy. Has grokipedia copied the wiki page on groki yet?

My recollection is LNP used to announce budget surpluses but rarely stuck to the budget anyway. Not sure where to find the hard numbers though. Hardly matters but for a talking point

Why does a parliamentary sports club need a sponsor? Who's left in the club now (Allegra Spender and Monique Ryan have joined the exodus)?

This has a very specific context: That Pam Bondi's DOJ refused to enforce an arrest warrant for Cory Mills after his girlfriend called the cops on him.

We should keep repeating that fact: Pam Bondi is letting a powerful white man engage in violence in part bc GOP Majority depends on her doing so

Thanks, great article. Similar to Eastbourne Bergs v Fonseca 1st set tiebreak with Fons serving 6-7 (1:09 on tennistv). Ball called out, computer shows ball in, umpire confirms out via radio. Bergs still won the set. How do you ever get different graphics from call?

WIDER ANGLE: In this size the cop shooting Australian reporter @laurentomasi.bsky.social with rubber bullets looks even more intentional.

Watch as this LAPD cop takes deliberate aim at an Australian reporter, then shoots her at close range. I would fire the police chief over this. Inexcusable thuggery.

The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers.

That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.

NSW to review law that presumes children under 14 are incapable of evil After a 2016 high court ruling, the conviction rates of 10 to 13 year olds in NSW have plummeted, report finds * Australia news live: latest politics and federal election updates * Get our breaking news email, free app or daily news podcast A centuries-old legal presumption that children aged between 10 and 14 don’t understand the difference between right and wrong is to be reviewed after New South Wales youth criminal conviction rates tumbled fivefold. The NSW attorney general’s office said the review will consider how the principle of doli incapax – Latin for “incapable of evil” – is applied in criminal proceedings, its impact on intervention, possible improvements and a framework for legislation.
