Columbia Springs in Vancouver offers two miles of easy trails, wildlife viewing, a historic trout hatchery, and peaceful vibes. Trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset, with plenty to explore (even during habitat restoration). Leashed pups welcome.

First Day Hikes return January 1 at Washington State Parks, including Battle Ground Lake State Park, just minutes from Vancouver. 🌲 All state parks are free to visit that day, with guided hikes and activities at specific parks. Advance registration is required for most events.

Closure update! The last day to visit Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in 2025 is December 20. The Fort, Visitor Center, and Pearson Air Museum will be closed through the holidays, with regular operations resuming January 6, 2026. Park grounds and trails remain open daily from dawn to dusk.
