The UK Trans Experience: you can be arbitrarily included in a lawsuit that has nothing to do with you, be included in national coverage and have dozens of articles written about you, be found innocent of everything and still have journalists follow you to different countries to call you a pervert

No. That's the logic that leads to people misgendering people like Caitlyn Jenner.
Our gender identities are not conditional on your approval of our behaviour. This applies to cisgender people too.
There's a vindictive part of me that wants her to overdo it and end up with some level of gender dysphoria from the facial hair or deepening voice...
You will be truly stunned when you hear about these things called "cars", "planes", and "drones" then...
Do you see how ridiculous this is?
Of course you do.
This is the same as every single GC being portrayed as a feminist in the media.
Can you see that, too?
The new Chair is kissing Rowling's arse in the press this morning.
Newsom once more displaying his bigotry (homophobia, transphobia), whilst trying to dunk on the idiot Hesgeth, and Mark Hamill disappointingly lauding him for it.
If this is true, I must be taking the wrong hormones...
“I’m a walking ad for what’s wrong about knee surgery dogma”
(The regret rate for transition is at least an order of magnitude lower than for most major surgeries).
It's pretty obvious to me that that's what this is, and I'm getting kind of freaked out that almost no one else sees it.
I don't want to defend Fox, but this is obviously a 'game' where you give a definition, and then the player guesses which of the given terms is the correct one - which *requires* that the other three terms be made up shit.
BlueSky needs less AI and more trans women in its dev process.
A reminder that trans people's 'demands' were 'can we have healthcare that doesn't take 20 years?' and 'can we change our documents easier!?'
That's it.
And we didn't even ask very loudly.
In response, the UK has decided to take all our rights away.
The government was forced to admit the EHRC’s transphobic draft guidance got it wrong, and they’ve had to send it back to the drawing board.
But the fight is far from over. They plan to bring an updated version back to parliament in May. So we need to act – fast 👇
Pick me! Pick me!
... it's pretty obvious to me that I just wanted someone to give me permission.
The most useful thing about that stupid test for me was not the result (I think I always got androgyne), but my reaction to the result - disappointment that it didn't tell me I was transsexual.
Unfortunately I didn't know that at the time. Looking back from 20 years later ...
Salad cream transsexual
reskeet this if you’re a trans woman who has never been on 4chan or kiwifarms. Just trying to see something
When all is said and done, let it be remembered that the ones that fought against the trans community hardest were a bunch of warmongering, sex trafficking, racist pedophiles.
GAH! WHY THE FUCK DO THEY NEED TO KNOW?!?
Jesse Singal: spends an entire decade trying to uncover a massive wave of desisters & detransitioners that never materialized
also Jesse Singal: "trans people are the real conspiracy theorists!"
So @plaidcymru.bsky.social have launched their manifesto and I have opinions about what they say about trans issues, and how they've said it.
I know the manager of their Bluesky account doesn't give a stuff because the constantly ignore me, but here you go...
I've only ever voted for Plaid in the Senedd so I'd prefer to vote for them, but I also don't want to reward mealy-mouthed support or appeasement of GC views because the current UK Labour party shows where that can lead.
My constituency seems hellbent on returning two Reform numpties anyway :-(
Yes, but doesn't that again speak to who they're trying to appeal to?
They've historically been accused of being obsessed with independence and the language, so putting it near the back says "This is not that important to us."
Or I'm reading too much into it. I'm aware that that could be the case.
Anything less than full-throated support feels to me like appeasement of the trans hostile portion of their base.
... the Bluesky and Facebook accounts themselves more trans indifferent or hostile? Certainly Plaid still has candidates who I've seen on Twitter in the bad old days shouting down trans people who pointed out that YesCymru was transphobic and mysogynistic.
...
... which only appeared on TikTok and Instagram from what I could see - it definitely was not on Facebook or here on Bluesky. Aiming for the younger, more LGBTQ+ friendly social media base, and avoiding posting it to older, LGBTQ+ hostile users on the other platforms? Or are the people running ...
... just want to put this on page 62 of the manifesto to appease whingers like me without having to say anything in public. It feels strongly like they don't want to be questioned on the subject so they can avoid upsetting any terfs in their voter base.
On TDoV last week, they put out a video ...
It's nice that they've finally said something, and tilts the Plaid vs Green scale in my voting deliberations back in their direction, but I'm still getting an unsettling vibe from their relative silence on the subject of trans people (yes I know I'm like broken record).
It still feels like they ...
