Just in -- former state controller, Betty Yee, who just dropped out and is widely respected, has just endorsed Steyer citing his dedication to working families and the climate fight."

He divested 20 years ago and is better on criminal justice issues than Becerra.
I trust them. Also supported by some of the most progressive members of the Cal. legislature. And who are Steyer's enemies? Real estate and fossil fuel PACs have formed just to attack him.
Maybe you should educate yourself. Becerra is funded by Chevron and law enforcement PACS. Steyer is endorsed by major progressive organizations, environmental activists, and electeds -- Courage California, Our Revolution, Smart Justice CA, Bill McKibben, Jane Fonda, Ro Khanna.
Steyer is more progressive, is polling well, and getting great endorsements, including - today - Our Revolution. Also Jane Fonda, Ro Khanna, Courage California, Bill McKibben and some of the most progressive members of the Cal. legislature.
That said, Becerra is problematic for a number of reasons -- e.g., getting big donations from Chevron and law enforcement PACs. Did not have a great record on criminal justice when he was state AG.
We have a "jungle primary" -- the two top vote getters move on -- Republicans and Dems on one ballot. The fear has been that the 8 (now 7) Dems would split the vote, allowing the 2 Repubs who are at the top of the polls to get in
I live in the lovely Bay Area, so this is not a problem
The strait has been a particular source of frustration. Before the U.S. went to war, Trump told his team that Iran’s government would likely capitulate before closing the strait, and that even if Tehran tried, the U.S. military could handle it, The Wall Street Journal has reported. Some of the president’s advisers were caught off guard that tanker traffic would grind to a halt so quickly after the bombing began, according to a person in contact with the White House. Trump has since marveled at the ease with which the strait was closed. A guy with a drone can shut it down, Trump has said to people, expressing belated irritation that the key waterway was so vulnerable. He has publicly oscillated between demanding support from allies to help open it and insisting that the U.S. doesn’t need or want military assistance.
These two ¶¶ more than 35 ¶¶ into an adventure in sanewashing would be the entire story if reporters cared about accountability for Trump.

He ignored those warnings.
Now he confesses he was wrong.

As a result of our lawsuit, guards at "Alligator Alcatraz" are required to allow people detained at the facility to call their lawyers, in accordance with the Constitution.
Yet when our clients asserted their right to access phones, guards brutally beat them. ICE must be held accountable.
Given Trump’s Easter threats to carry out new war crimes in Iran, we should think one or two steps ahead about a coup attempt connected to the war. And then deter it. (1/17)

No Kings has always been about bringing people into the movement and mobilizing them to take action (voting, lobbying, local impact)
Maybe you should join some organizations to see what's going on. For example, there is a mass call next Tuesday to continue organizing the new folks who showed up on Saturday and to talk about the national day of economic disruption on May Day.
Who came up with this list? I think Tim Kaine has had it with politics. And where is Ro Khanna?

Has Wolf Blitzer copyrighted "The Situation Room"?
And leaders in Cal. have already responded by changing the name of the holiday.
And stop naming schools after people. I went to PS#1
The Farmworker Movement is and always that: a movement. The heroism comes from the thousands of unsung people, many if not most of them women, who bravely faced every form of oppression to demand justice for themselves and others.
There is a difference in substance. Also, Mamdani is the mayor of an American city. He has no constitutional power re: war or reigning in the president. Schumer is the minority leader in the Senate and is responsible for leading the opposition in that body and enforcing its constitutional duties.
What a concept
You should not talk to police (unless you have called them for help). Period. You don't necessarily know if you are suspected of a crime, or how anything you say might be used against someone else.
