Listening to your Oscar pod and now can't wait for you to see Sirat. Going into that film looking for fun would be an interesting journey, but I think it's worth preparing for more than that. It'd pair well with Wages of Fear/Sorcerer though with added trauma.

Bought this at the cinema on my birthday in the summer of '84, and it was on my wall until summer '89 when it was replaced by Last Crusade.
A joy to watch Battle Beyond the Stars @fwfilmfestival.bsky.social with @galeannehurd.bsky.social in the room. An instant all-time festival moment is seeing Gale, staring up, taking in all of the end credits. Also with me, my '89 Bristol Odeon ticket for The Abyss.

There have been some fun Clancy films. I don't remember much about The Fog. Might that work on screen?
As a teen in the 80's I read Herbert like most seem to have read King. I went through Rats, Lair, Domain, The Fog, The Magic Cottage, and I copied some gory descriptions from Sepulchre in some English homework(I got a "see me" from teacher). I've never gone back.
Their life may have been changed with a watch of Maximum Overdrive.
