on my 'in another life, c!rivals duo are podcast bros' post on tumblr, someone left a tag that said 'i wish it was this one' and it's got me, man. i wish it was this one, too. i wish things had been different for them. :(

This is the origin Tumblr post from December 24th, 2021. We haven't even reached its third birthday and yet in so many fandom spaces it's established itself like it's always been there. It should be added to the Oxford English Dictionary (sincerely).
"Blorbo" is truely one of the greatest fandom terms to ever get picked up. How did fandom exist without a specific term for "the beloved character you are constantly thinking about and rotating in your mind"? I also love that it came from a Tumblr shitpost about fandom being incompressible.
