It’s now today but the statement remains. Never be ashamed not to have anything new to show. Art takes time and being an adult means time is short just doing basic things everyday. But art can be timeless and enjoyed whenever you post it and it will be new to a large audience if others share it.

Times are tough but employment is two way and the moment your failed to be paid down tools and stop till they sort out the issue. Never be afraid to talk openly or be labelled especially now where jobs are fragile even if you do everything right. Talking and point to issues is the power we have.

same problem I always run into. how many outputs are too many? what's useful to the user? I tried just outputting grey-ish textures with some color variation and overlaying that onto a flat color and it simply didn't get the same results as making that variation myself. so we're doing all the colors

it really is shocking how much self deprecation is seen as a cultural requirement for 'serious art.' 'real' artists are not allowed to exalt their work and must present it publicly as a sort of 'i dont think this is very good but maybe you will get around to it.' HECK THAT. love yourself

Sometimes I think it'd be a good idea for CEOs to be scored, Metacritic-style, based on how others evaluate how they run a company. I like to imagine it would encourage more restraint. Their incompetence does real damage. You shouldn't have to suffer executives just because you want to be a gamedev.
