The piece ignores that "outmigration" is actually highest among low and middle-income earners who literally cannot afford to stay. If the tax base is eroding, it’s because the working class is being priced out of their own neighborhoods.

The councilwoman cites a drop in the share of millionaires (12.7% to 8.7%) but admits the actual number of millionaires in NY grew.

Using percentages to hide the facts shows either an ignorance of how numbers work... or you're just choosing to lie.
