Wonderful to see a couple of Fantasy Magazine stories on Sam J. Miller's list of reads he recommends!
Stumbled across this on his Twitter - thank you so much Sam, and everyone else who gave our issues a look!❤️🔥

Interesting point!
I sent the survey July 7, 2024.
Since then: executive orders against DEI (Jan 2025) & many other despicable, blatantly messed up things.
Some who would quietly make racist decisions now do so with pride.
Perspective is more important than ever.

COPIOUS amounts of gratitude to everyone who submitted to our Special Call issue 100. As much as we don't get to publish it, I want to say we were in awe of many of the submissions we did receive. May all your queer, trans, & migrant stories and poetry find homes that celebrate and honour you 💕✨📜📝
Reminder: we are OPEN to reprints all month long! We are looking for reprints that cannot currently be read online for free! This includes stories that were never available online or are no longer online after a publication closed, etc. Find all the details in our guidelines!

"Give us stories of satellites and sewists, terminals and tailors, dandies and dying stars.
Give us gossip wicked and vital, dinner parties salacious and droll, debutantes vile and intrepid.
Give us unforgivable rudeness and oppressive etiquette, scathing asides and dire gaffes."

Being in conversation with @rebeccaroanhorse.bsky.social felt like a gift for me as a writer and reader in this moment of rumours of war and unceasing terrible political news.
There may be some words in this conversation that offer your heart & imagination something more to hold onto too.
