Wyvern Rex is an extinct Species similar to Arkveld but unlike Arkveld its the Ancestor to all Flying Wyverns. There could be one before it, The Origin Wyvern but that's a post for another day.

My most crackpot Monster Hunter Wilds theory is that the expansion won’t bring back Tigrex. Instead, it’ll introduce a Guardian Wyvern Rex. Basically Tigrex but it will be significantly bigger and has Guardian explosios. Maybe it even gets an element… Dragon, perhaps?
