The eye of super typhoon Sinlaku is beginning to move through Tinian and Saipan. Gusts to 209 km/h have been reported in Saipan so far. Violent winds have been going on there for hours due to the slow motion of the typhoon.

One can trace the eyewall of Super Typhoon Sinlaku quite well in lightning data as plenty of eyewall lightning has been occurring. Sinlaku is headed towards the Mariana Islands with direct impact possible in Saipan and Tinian.
