Not content with the hobbies I already have, I decided to try to get into photography. I had two rolls developed. One was a disaster. The other at least had a few I liked, including this one.

I decided to try film photography after a couple decades of vague, unacted-upon interest. I dropped off my first two rolls of film this afternoon and I'm anxious and excited. I don't know what I'm doing. Will I be happy with them? Will they turn out at all? Just gotta wait it out and see.

Just got out of a showing of Presence a bit ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my first trip to the theater this year, so we're starting of really strong.

I know I said that all the guys suck, but, at the end of the day, I actually like Jess. He just has his issues.

I have! I had read about its reputation going in, so that probably brought my expectations down enough to not mind it as much. It probably helps that I didn't watch Gilmore Girls until after it aired, so no anticipation.

And banned it without opening it up for discussion instead of inviting the worst of the worst to wander in and defend fascists. Props to them.

After watching through Gilmore Girls twice, I am with Buckley on this one. All these guys suck.

Shout out to /osr for announcing their ban with comments off, ripping into the shit-heels likely to complain, and threatening bans if people try to get around it. The endless "discussions" in the other subreddits just invited the chuds to wander in and shit everywhere.

Hey, I spent fifteen years in retail before starting school halfway through my thirties. There were so many people in the same boat that it didn't end up feeling as weird as I thought it would. It was difficult, but definitely worth the effort.

I made enough progress at work this week that the stress that's been crushing me for the past three has mostly melted away. And the temps are warming up a little so the ice is also melting away!

Heck yeah. A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night always makes for a great movie night.

One of the rare positive things these last few years is the emergence of new trans movie writers and directors.

There was a small trans movies festival this Summer in Montreal. It was pretty short but it was nice to see that there is enough new trans movies to make a film fest with them.
