There are some bonuses to food allergies

It's always baffling to me when I see Jewish content -- especially anti-antisemetic content -- on substack. So here's your reminder that substack's problems in that area are not in the past, we just somehow got used to them.

That's what I figured, sorry
... Also iirc the fallback suggestion was shmot for obvious reasons
Thank you for getting me addicted to this (and under 7. We both beat my spouse who somehow was under 28 and had to take a clue!)
You're not in my area or I'd have a suggestion for you... I assume you're not coming down to visit or anything?
My shul particularly likes to suggest doing name changes on parashah Lech Lecha because of the name changes already in there
Now I'm awfully curious what your actual name is because we've got to have mutual friends
Anyway, job hunting is hard, I'm sorry
Well, especially since it's awfully hard to invent a field on your own
That's a heck of a claim for sure!
Have you considered the field of 🌈 information security🌈 where if you can tell people things they don't want to hear and get them to *thank* you you are magic?
It worked out ok for me and I *terrible* at it. Actively bad and incomprehensible. People seem to be fine with me now and I have a job where dealing with people is a, excuse the phrasing, "core competency" by which I mean I tell people things they don't want to hear
I managed to get all the way through school without realizing that dealing with people is a necessary job skill. Wow, I wish someone had warned me.
Also job hunting sucks, I'm sadly aware
Asking --> along
FWIW I'm not aware of such a thing even existing, at least in my field. Curmudgeon tends to be a more common stumbling block, asking with job history.
I'm not sure that any shul I've been to even *has* one of those. I might be unobservant, in which case 🤷 since the number of people across all the non-Orthodox shuls in the eruv at sunrise Shavuot services is only like 30-50, partially depending on weather. (There may be later services)
What in the avodah zarah
And citrus+toothpaste
Mixed lots of things are a problem, to be fair
... also Aramaic
You don't even need to go to a city to live in an area with a lot of diversity! I've lived in suburbs most of my life and most of them are quite linguistically, ethnically, and religiously varied.
It's applesauce and chia seeds with a little brown sugar, so it basically tastes like applesauce. And, importantly, I'm not allergic to it.
Alternative charoset with chia seeds in it. Looks like alien frog spawn
I made way too much charoset for the seder(s). It's really a mystery why people didn't eat much of my very special recipe. No, it's not what was left over after the frog plague, why do you ask?
Well, see, they hit the giant kaiju frog and then it became lots of little frogs
I can't eat them, but I suspect they're better than matzah brei!
There is kfp oat matzah, but there is also some made with basically starch. It's kosher for passover, but it doesn't halachahly count as matzah. To be clear, I'm thrilled it exists; some of us don't have a choice.
Eh, not really. Nor do I want sufganiot outside of Chanukah.
