As I get older, I increasingly realise that cats have got life totally nailed. Sleep all day. Eat. Get tummy rubs. Stay within 100m of your house. Hang around with cat people. Hiss at things that piss you off. Do as you please and ignore all the rules.

Hello- thank you for your comments. I have deleted the original post as I do not want to be the source of any confusion. However nothing I have said is incorrect, simply the original post lacks nuanced discussion of the evidence and scholarly debate and doesn’t point out what is theoretical.

Was just looking into unprocessed trauma in adults, WHO says 70-80% of adults experience trauma. Conservative estimates are that 25-50% are carrying that trauma in their bodies. This is #hottake
on why we feel so fucking shit…
