2026 has been very fishy so far

OVH rebooted the server unprompted after I upgraded the storage, apparently "you'll need to reboot your server" meant "we'll do it for you :)))"

There's going to be some more downtime as I'm taking this opportunity to upgrade from the ancient version of Ubuntu I was still running on this server.

Seems OAuth issues were caused by the really stupid reason of me just forgetting to rerun the asset build script after rolling back the code, its working again!

It also seems like if you already have/had a valid token you'll still be able to access things, so file uploads etc. appear to work fine on the site and in the chat still.

As for Patchii, traditional password authentication and SSH keys should be unaffected.

It appears like OAuth application authentication is currently broken, even after the rollback. I can't get on it right away but I'll have things back ASAP.

Things should be working again!

Logging into Patchii with Flashii ID is currently broken, working to fix it ASAP. If you still have your username/password credentials, or have set those up before you'll be able to use those still. SSH is not affected.

Might import the old Twitter posts at some point as well which might cause a little bit of timeline spam when I do, I'd write an actual throwaway script for that anyhow.

I did manually copy the posts over (pdsls.dev <3) but the original dates are sorta gone now, I really wish the archived displayed post time and archived label were swapped so it showed "Archived at" instead of "Archived from" but whatever...

Okay so this is slightly inconvenient for now I guess, but this is a did:web account now! You can unfollow @plc.flashii.net if you want to, its only being left as an archive with accurate dates and to redirect people to this new account.

I'd already been toying with the idea of hosting my own PDS for something, but I'll probably look into getting another VPS with a different provider and using that to host a status page again, along with my own PDS.

Earlier the everything went down, likely an issue on OVH's end, but at the same time Bluesky also went down (I wonder if it's related lol) so I could not post about :D

Received a couple more error reports and noticed some other issues as well though those are all less critical than the front page literally not loading, but those too will get fixed later today!

Just fixed an oversight on the landing page that was causing an error while trying to load the page. If you were unable to access it, you should now be able to again.
