The toilet paper packaging is blue, at least here in Oregon--not that it really matters, it is still a bizarre housewarming gift set...

Excuse me, as a fan of kirkland brand toilet paper, I believe those are kirkland brand paper towels. Does that make it better? Worse? More acceptable to leave in the kitchen?

A painting of Lucifer tempting Jesus in the desert. Lucifer is INCREDIBLY naked, dirty, and lurid, rubbing up ons Jesus' robes from behind; his hand is open in offering and is placed in front of Jesus' crotch
I just re-found this painting, which was in a kid's bible I had growing up. I used to obssess over it, and I'm pretty sure seeing Lucifer here was the first time I thought a man was attractive? Over the years I'd think "it couldn't possibly be as horny as I remember it", but I mean come ON

Democratic Primary Candidates: Congressional District 4
YouTube video by City Club of Eugene (CCE)
There is a debate for the Dem primary for OR4 happening
TODAY at noon--> www.youtube.com/live/fjUHSWJ...
(I'm annoyed the incumbent decided to skip it--not a good look! And pretty indicative of why people are frustrated with establishment Dems!)

Hey, #Romancelandia, today is National Librarian Day in the U.S.
Can we show some love to Julia (former library assistant) and help her finishing raising what she needs? Every little bit counts (as does sharing her post 👇🏽)
Thank you!

While I don't know this one, I would expect to get it from context pretty easily. I assume it's the same as being run ragged. (I love these questions by the way--idioms are so interesting!)

Soft drink means a sweetened carbonated beverage. There are some regional variations but most (like soft drink, soda or pop) are recognized everywhere even if they aren't the norm for that area. I've heard that Texas uses coke, like "do you want an orange coke" and *that* will not fly elsewhere.

Do they sell unwrapped "imperfect" extras at a discount? Because that was the best/worst thing about the Lindt shop near one of my old apartments.

The article I linked to says that Trump won the district by 10 points in 2024. Given the current political climate (where districts have been swinging 15 or more points left) I don't think a Republican is a shoo-in at all

It’s a brilliant tax because when they say “but the billionaires will leave” you get to say “they already don’t live there”

Why Dance of Identity needs your support
YouTube video by A Dance of Identity
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Crowdfunder for our film, I was shown the rough cut a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, they've done an amazing job.
However we need funds for a cinema release as selling the film in this climate is an uphill struggle

I have mixed feelings about taxing the rich (mix between satisfaction and glee) but I think it's also helpful to remind people what "tax the rich" means. Not "what you hope to inherit from your parents" rich; we're talking $238 million SECOND home rich.
