QOTW: 00’s UK sitcom Spaced (feat Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright) often had games shown prominently within episodes but most notably Resident Evil 2 was a huge part of the episode “Art”. The episode is bookended with zombie attacks due to Pegg’s character binging RE2 and hallucinating. 1/2

No shade on the very talented artist here, but I see this tutorial pop up a lot and I always think - my dude, I’m struggling to understand light and shadow here, maybe assume that I find drawing characters from unusual angles equally challenging???

QOTW: Apologies for an obvious answer but Final Fantasy 7. Like Mario, the 2D version of the series was perfected on the previous generation and going to 3D was a little experimental and not without flaws, but it arguably set the benchmark for future JRPGs to aspire to from that point on.

My unpopular opinion for today is that Doggett is a better agent than Mulder.

Doggett will actively attempt to rule out all possibilities before accepting the weird stuff going on, whereas Mulder jumps immediately to the weird stuff and just happens to be right because that’s the show.

SSX Tricky and 3 are in my all time fav games so I was hyped for World Tour. However, it had none of the fun and pizazz of Tricky and none of the exploration and challenge of 3.

This has happened twice with SSX, as I can also say the same thing about the gritty 2012 reboot.

I’m in the last stretch of FF Tactics (the recent remake) and at that super satisfying point where all the grinding and character building is paying off and I’m destroying the story missions.

I miss hearing from Henry and Diamond Dog Dave! But aside from returning guests, I think Razbuten from YouTube would be a great fit for the show. Very positive about gaming and he gets super in depth. Jenna Stoeber is another YouTuber whose whole vibe would fit nicely with you guys too.

I had The Bouncer! My 14 year old self loved it and I remember the combat being pretty fun but the main story only takes about 2 hours to finish, and even if you replay as each different character you’re looking at 7 hours for 100% at most. Even back in the day it was considered way too short
